The series “My Universe” began in 2017 with the artwork “Daughters of the Universe”. It was an experimental work where I learned to work with gold leaf and wanted to portray my feelings.
Later, at the beginning of 2020, I returned to the idea of creating a series of artworks. The idea of the series is in contact with our inner and outer Universe. Inside us, such a wealth of experiences and emotions is like a whole Universe.
Then the artworks “Wind of Change” and “Immersion in yourself” appeared. In the first painting, a constellation in the shape of a heart is formed from the stars, hinting at the state of love and euphoria of the depicted girl. The color scheme against the background is dominated by pink as if a girl in this state looks at the world around her through pink glasses. Everything around is mysteriously romantic.
In the painting “Immersion in yourself” there is an image of a girl immersed in her Universe of thoughts and self-reflection. Perhaps she is dreaming. She is in herself, the world around her is in blue tones as if she is divorced from reality.
The next painting in series was “Follow Your Dream”. This is a self-portrait because the topic is very close to me. I grew up in a society and a time where people dream only in childhood. I sincerely try to keep the ability to dream and carry it through life. This painting is about how important it is to look into your universe and see your dreams. Often, some very distant and small star-dream eventually becomes a huge powerful star. All in our hands. This story is about the importance of protecting your dream from its very inception and growing and one day fulfilling it into something big and amazing.
The next work in the series was the diptych “Two Universes”. I wanted to supplement the series with work not only about the inner experiences of one person but also the contact of two. Because this is also a magical moment when two universes find each other and unite. This painting was painted in November 2020.
This series is still paused, I return to it when I have a desire.
All my art is based on the transmission of emotions and experiences. In most cases, I try to broadcast positive energy, but sometimes I want to share other experiences that are in my soul. The series of works “Don’t see the world” was born by chance. It was written at the end of 2020. The same year in which there were many travel bans due to the situation in the world. I had hopes of traveling this year, but the pandemic hit both finances and freedom of movement. The idea came at one moment and I began to paint while sitting in the 4 walls of my workshop, from which I rarely got out all this year. The girl was of European appearance in a hood on a gray background, somewhat similar to me. It was clear that I was broadcasting my emotion through the image of a girl close to mine. Therefore, the next day I thought about continuing this series since almost the entire planet and a lot of people are affected by the pandemic. Everyone is limited in movement. So I supplemented the series with two portraits. I understand that it was possible to expand this series further since many peoples are in trouble, but I decided to stop three portraits since the idea was realized. Two paintings from the series immediately found their owners and flew to the USA and Great Britain.
If you are interested, then I will talk about some of my work in the blog. Thanks for your attention!
Let’s get acquainted? The first blog post I want to tell you about how I came to what I am doing now.
Even though I have been painting all my life since childhood, I began to paint the first conscious portraits in 2013, at the same time the first orders began. I started my creative public career with digital painting and for several years painted only on a graphic tablet. In connection with my studies at the Department of Design and National Arts, where we never parted with laptops, I gradually returned to traditional materials, mastered oil painting, and began teaching at an art studio. By the time I graduated from university, I realized that design does not fascinate me as much as painting with traditional materials. After studying, I worked for a couple of years as a freelance illustrator and artist, then again as a teacher in an art studio.
But in 2020, I realized that I wanted to become a full-time artist.
The main genre of my work is portrait. I am very inspired by people, their thoughts, behavior, emotions, appearance, images. I transmit many of my thoughts through the images of girls since this is close to me and so I feel what I want to express. But sometimes I go to flowers or landscapes, I like to work with sunlight in paintings. Also, I don’t limit myself to mediums. My main medium is oil, but I also use acrylics, and watercolors, and graphics.
I created this site at the very beginning of 2021 and I hope that I will fill it up often. I hope that there will be more and more people to whom my art responds. I will be immensely glad to find your response to this and will be glad to share my energy.
